Haiti Earthquake Relief Efforts Update March 2010

Pay It Forward Project is organizing a relief effort for the people of Haiti following the devastating 7.0 magnitude earthquake and after shocks that rocked the country on Tuesday, January 12th 2010.

We pledge 100 percent of the money collected will directly benefit aid efforts on the ground as founders Denise and Wendy plan to travel to Haiti at their own expense in the coming months.

As media attention wanes and rescue efforts conclude, they will assess the priority needs to better utilize any contributions.

When making your donation please denote you are funding HAITI RELIEF under the Designation box.

Haiti PIFP Wind & Solar Renewable Energy Solution

PIFP proposes our Renewable Energy Solution as a pillar that will enable the construction of a solid foundation leading to sustainable development and the advancement of education health and community development. This will bring electricity to areas where there is none With the PIFP self contained Renewable Energy Solution (RES) this can be made possible. El Salvador PIFP Economical Development Program

We have proudly selected for our first coop program two families who  have shown through time to be highly responsible, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals whom were in need of a vote of trust. Our first family is led by Miss Blanca Luz Bautista (48) mother of five. Three of Blanca’s children are struggling to stay in school and to work to help support the family which lives on a monthly income of $295. One of her children Mariano (26) was run over by a car at the age of six and consequently suffered brain injuries that left him in a vegetative state. El Salvador PIFP Donates Eye Surgery for a remarkable Lady!
This particular program is the one that holds a special place in our hearts and is the one we are most grateful for being able to realize. We met Delores Ortiz in 2006 when we were distributing rice and beans to families in the community of Armenia. This diminutive lady of 70 years and not more than 4'9" gave our Founder Denise Bobba a bear hug of appreciation that almost took Denise's breath away! Delores is the sole bread earner for a family of 5 as her daughter was unable to work due to a serious illness that she unfortunately succumbed to 2 months after we left El Salvador in July of this year. Delores is now raising her 3 grandchildren by herself. To Read More click here

El Salvador PIFP provided loans for two Convenience Stores
Beneficiary Jesus Martinez is a local PIFP Volunteer who has tirelessly worked with us for the past five years by identifying the neediest people in the community, distributing clothes donated by you, overseeing our existing programs and acting as our local representative for our beneficiaries.  Following his hard work and dedication PIFP was able to provide him with a loan in order for him to set up a convenience store in his neighborhood.  He will operate the store with a business partner and dear friend Alex Gutierrez.
